Confusion regarding the school calendar---

Friday, February 17, was originally scheduled as a Teacher Institute-- that is not the case any longer.  We will be in school that day.

Teachers' Institute on Tuesday, March 20.

Also, Friday, May 18, (not Thursday, May 17th) is another Early Dismissal

We are going to Argonne National Labs for a field trip on Wed. Feb. 15th from 9:00-1:00.

The test on ENERGY is Tuesday, February 7th!!!

Social Studies-Chapter 8
-Lesson 1-Britain's Parliament taxes the colonists.
-Lesson 2-Protesters dump British tea in the harbor.
-Lesson 3-Fighting begins between Britain and the colonists.

Test will most likely be on Thursday, February 16th!!!

Reading:  

We will begin a new reading strategy next week.  We will work on determining what the cause and effect is, as we read a variety of material.  We will begin the week by reading a story called, James Forten.  We will focus on vocabulary at the beginning of the week and then move to the story.
