ELA-Reading: Challenges
We have started our technology project on Sitting Bull. The students will be "digging deeper" on this Native American.
They have chosen 3-4 subcategories to research.
The students should be reading about the topics they chose.
They should be taking notes on each subtopic this weekend.
They will need to give a brief 2-3 sentence description of the event.
The students should relate this event to challenges and give another 2-3 sentence description about challenges faced during this even.

Social Studies: Chapter 5-The Struggle to Found Colonies
Lesson 1-1607-Jamestown-The first permanent English colony is started in North America.
After an extensive look into the different Roanoke Scenarios and what happened to this first unsuccessful colony, we will now be moving forward to the study of Jamestown, the first successful English colony. If your child hasn't shown you the Roanoke Slide Presentation, please have them share with you over the weekend.
