Scientific Experiment---HOMEWORK
You will need to find and conduct a simple experiment at home. Record yourself doing the experiment and send it to Mrs. Spakausky.
Step 1: Find a simple experiment in a book or online.
Step 2: Fill out your scientific method page.
Step 3: Conduct the experiment, while someone is recording you.
Step 4: Repeat the experiment, if needed 2-3 more times.
Step 5: Finish filling out your scientific method sheet.
Step 6: Send video to your teacher to share in class.

Important Dates:
Sept 27- Early Dismissal
Reading: This week we will begin the fourth grade Courage unit. The unit revolves around the essential questions of "What does it mean to show courage?", "Can courage be shown in more than one way?" and "How can one person make a difference?" We will also focus on how to determine the theme of a story.
English: In English, we will continue Unit one. The Sentence. We will focus on finding the subject and predicate along with run-on sentences.
Spelling: Unit 5 - "Greek Roots: graph, auto, photo, tele, rupt"
This week's spelling/vocabulary list will include Greek Roots. We will study the meanings of these words and how to use them correctly. The final test is scheduled for Friday, 9/29.
Social Studies: The chapter 4 test is scheduled for Monday, September 25th! I sent home a study guide and I attached one up in the pictures.
Science: We will continue the introduction chapter of "Getting Ready for Science". We will learn how the scientific method helps scientist gain knowledge. We will complete several experiments this week to learn how the Scientific method works. There will be an open book quiz on lessons two and three on Tuesday.
Mrs. Spakausky's Math Class: This week, we will begin Unit 1, Module 3 on multiplication comparisons and equations. Please sign the quiz that came home today, Friday, 9/22.
