Reading: Theme: Nature's Fury
We will incorporate nonfiction into ELA while learning about earthquakes, hurricanes and more natural disasters.  
Ask your child what their answers are to these 3 essential questions:

What are forces of nature?   

How can a force of nature that is so far away affect me?   

How can a force of nature be both destructive and constructive at the same time?

Social Studies: Chapter 7, Lesson 3

We will only touch on chapter 7, lesson 3 before we go into chapter 8.  We will read about it and then have a quiz.
